Overview:

The Chemistry and Hematology sections constitute the Core Lab which offers the largest menu of tests in the entire Department of Pathology. Medical technologists and technicians operate and analyze data from a variety of automated analyzers. Tests performed in this section are used by the physician to evaluate the presence of serious health problems such as diabetes, cirrhosis of the liver, heart attack, anemia, and thyroid conditions. The Core Lab is constantly evaluating new methodologies to ensure that MACH stays at the forefront of laboratory technology.
