Brace Shop


What type of care is available?

The Brace Shop provides inpatient and outpatient care to all eligible beneficiaries, to include Active Duty, Tricare Prime and Tricare Plus categories and all age groups. The care is provided on walk in basis or appointments if needed. A wide variety of products and services are available, with expert staff on hand to assist.


What type of care is not available?

The Brace shop does not fabricate prosthetics of any kind, or fit for support stockings. These services are referred to the Tricare service network or Health Benefits advisors. Canes, crutches and accessory parts are provided by Physical Therapy, post-op shoes and Boston boots are provided by Podiatry. Both of these services are located on the 8th floor.


How is care obtained?

Patients are given a Brace Shop prescription card EB (med) FM 48 (see last page) by their health care provider and the patient brings this card to the Brace Shop staff, who will fill the prescription. Brace Shop prescription cards are available to clinics through IMD.


Where is the clinic located?

The Brace Shop is located in the main basement, next to the chapel in Rm. 7. The telephone number is 544-4658.


When is care available?

The Brace Shop hours of operations are: M-T-W 0800-1600 (closed daily 12-1300 for lunch), Th- F 0800-1200 only.
