Text Box: Martin Army Family     Medicine Residency

Text Box: Since 1972 Martin Army Community Hospital has a long and established tradition of producing competent, compassionate and effective soldier physicians.  Our residency program is an unopposed 7-7-7 program located at MACH with a wide variety of services that are a perfect fit for family medicine.  We provide care to active duty service members, their dependents and a large retiree population.
Our residency is the oldest family medicine residency program in the US Army (established 1972) and the only residency program at Martin Army Community Hospital. The hospital is located on Fort Benning just south of Columbus, GA.  The Residency is an official teaching hospital for USUHS (Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland) and frequently hosts both active duty  medical students as well as students from other medical schools.
The majority of Residents are either USUHS graduates or HPSP graduates.  Applicants for residency training must have been accepted for a military commission prior to applying for residency.
