The Healthcare Management Division
(HMD) was established June 1999. HMD was
created to provide the one-stop shopping concept for
beneficiaries. The division encompasses two branches -
Beneficiary Services and Managed Care.
HMD is a division that touches many parts of a
patient's health care. It is an ongoing process to
ensure the best patient care is given to each and every
beneficiary.
Beneficiary Services Branch includes the Referral Management Center
(referrals in and outside the hospital and consult results), Master
schedulers and the Central Appointment Office.
Managed Care Branch includes TRICARE Prime and TRICARE Plus enrollment
to primary care clinics, Health Benefits Advisors (benefits and claims
issues), health care service contracts to include the TRICARE contract,
and Data Services (handles data analysis).
